- Plan and prepare for working in the drilling Industry
- Obtain, interpret and confirm work requirements
- Access, interpret and apply required drilling documentation and confirm work activity is compliant
- Identify and minimise environmental issues and potential hazards, and assess and address risks within scope of own role and according to workplace procedures
- Select and wear personal protective equipment required for work activities
- Communicate with other personnel on site as required and confirm briefings and handover details are communicated and received as required
- Perform safe manual handling
- Routinely practice good housekeeping
- Identify housekeeping requirements
- Clean and tidy work area
- Clean and store all tools and equipment according to workplace requirements
- Identify and report potential hazards from poor housekeeping
- Identify areas of improvement for housekeeping and escalate as required
- Report equipment problems verbally or in writing
- Complete prestart checks
- Check plant, tools and equipment required to carry out tasks for faults and report or rectify within scope of own role and confirm ready for use
- Check and top up fluids as required
- Check all guards and safety devices are in place and serviceable
- Confirm all personnel are clear or in a safe position before starting work activity
- Complete required written records according to task requirements and workplace procedures
- Complete plant and vehicle refuelling procedures
- Prepare and operate vehicle
- Check vehicle roadworthiness, load distribution and security before starting
- Identify potential vehicle hazards during vehicle operation and load and implement hazard minimisation procedures
- Plan trip that maximises safety and minimises cost
- Drive vehicle in compliance with local conditions, road and site rules as required
- Park and secure vehicle according to task requirements and workplace procedures
- Change wheel as required
